1. Funds can provide time and place to do the work and have the conversations, like doing laundry with a stranger in a laundromat or having coffee with an elderly man at McDonald’s. Funds help us get to where we need to be to do the work, like a hoarder’s kitchen, an obese person’s cat-feces-covered closet floor, or the home of a person who just needs to talk. Who teaches whom, I cannot say, but I can confirm that the world is a better place because we met and that fruitfulness will multiply.
   
   Funds can provide diesel to help us visit places where we can model surrender and possibility as well as maintain the van, restock the toilet paper, and purchase dog treats and coffee to share with others.
   
   Funds allow time to study sacred texts and cultures, to commune with God, and to experience transformation so that we can do the work He’s asking of us: to be and multiply Love.
